I’m feeling a little starstruck today, guys: Caroline Sigamoney is one of my absolute favorite influencers on Instagram when it comes to plus-size style. And I’m not alone… only about another 275,999 (mostly) women love her outfits and try-ons just as much as I do!
The fact that Caroline not only replied to my DM immediately, but also thought that a “top shelf” beauty feature on a Swiss beauty blog would be totally cool, flatters me all the more, because this shopping queen with her signature red lips knows her beauty stuff, too! My skin history:
I’ve always been freckly, but lucky with not many breakouts as a teenager and fairly even skin. I have a bit of a red complection and am prone to blushing regularly. I have some fine lines and wrinkles now, but I have been a keen skincare user since my 20s.
My favorite skincare brand:
Hmm… I have lots of favourites for different things. Currently, my favourite cleanser is the Skin Rocks Cleansing Balm.
My favorite make up brand:
Make-up is not really my specialty, but for affordability and quality I enjoy using No7.
My favorite perfume:
I love perfume and have a lot. For winter, I love Eau Rihla by Diptyque, und in summer, I love to wear Citron Noir by Hermès.
My morning routine:
- Skin Rocks Cleansing Balm – gentle but effective and smells beautiful.
- Sisley Floral Toner – I think toners are underestimated, they leave your skin beautifully refreshed and hydrated.
- Gatineau Collagene Expert Plump & Revive Eye Cream – an absolute must to keep those fine lines at bay!
- Medik8 C-Tetra Serum – I really believe in adding a vitamin c to your morning routine for skin brightening, and this one works well.
- Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream – the OG. Elemis is a brand I used to dream of being able to use, and this moisturizer is just beautiful: lightweight, non greasy, absorbs nicely and smells incredible.
- SPF – Ultraviolette is amazing. I find SPFs really hard to like, as they leave my skin feeling greasy and slippery, but this one absorbs really well and has a beautiful sheen that it leaves my skin looking glowy without any makeup on.
My holy grail beauty product:
My red lipstick. I fell in love with Rouge Dior 999 Lipstick – it gives me the confidence I need to feel fabulous about myself and is the perfect red colour – but the price and longevity made me look elsewher. Then I discovered No 7 Pro Artist Matte Muse Lipstick in «Red Carpet Ready» (around £11), which is an amazing, lasts all day and for the price, I don’t think it can be beaten!
