Before we dive into our list of the best beauty souvenirs from Switzerland, I’d like to say this: We’re so incredibly lucky to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world! Switzerland not only offers stunning landscapes, clean air, and even cleaner water, but also the ideal environment for beauty brands to work their magic and create beautiful products from (and with) these unique resources.
I mean… this is literally my front yard:
Inspired by my international friends who come to visit me regularly in my hometown of Zurich, as well as by the fact that, as a beauty journalist, I always head out to find the best beauty gems in each country I visit, I’ve long wanted to create a sort of “hit list” of products from Swiss brands and made in Switzerland that I personally love so much that I can wholeheartedly recommend them as brilliant souvenirs or thoughtful gifts from your trip to Switzerland.
Whether you’re visiting Switzerland as a tourist or live here, and perhaps aren’t even familiar with some of these products yet:
Here’s the Hey Pretty-approved Love List featuring 10 of the best beauty souvenirs from Switzerland!
Favorit Eau de Parfum Genève (30ml), approx. CHF 78.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: There are only a handful of fragrance houses in Switzerland, and we think the Zurich-based design agency-cum-perfume house Favorit is one of the most exciting! Their small, exquisite fragrance collection is produced in small batches in Zurich, and the wooden lids are handcrafted from Swiss wood. Favorit currently offers eight fragrances, four of which are dedicated to the Swiss cities of Zurich, Zermatt, and Geneva.
Even though it pains us a little as Zurich natives, we find their Genève fragrance even more elegant than their Zurich scent, with slightly aquatic notes of fig leaf, white blossoms, and soft musk. Understated perfection!
WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT AWAY: Favorit perfumes are available in their own online shop as well as in all Changemaker Stores located in Switzerland’s biggest cities – find your nearest store here.
Tal MED Repair Hand Cream (75ml), approx. CHF 14.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: Is it its delicate scent, its fast-absorbing formula, or is it the wonderful ingredients—like edelweiss and horsetail extracts and grape seed oil—that make this cult-favorite hand cream an absolute must-have? The fact is, Tal MED Repair Hand Cream has been a national favorite for decades (and we love it, too!) and provides visible and tangible relief even for very dry, cracked hands. I have travel sizes (30ml) of this staple in pretty much every bag!
And that solves the mystery of why Swiss people have such beautifully manicured hands!
WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT AWAY: Tal Skincare products are available in over 2000 pharmacies and drugstores all over Switzerland.
La Colline Swiss Alps Cellular Mist (150ml), approx. CHF 85.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: Not only is our Top 10 list of the best beauty souvenirs from Switzerland getting truly luxurious, but it’s also becoming a real insider’s tip for all skincare nerds! This ultra-fine moisturizing spray from the high-tech beauty brand La Colline combines the best of Switzerland with smart skincare.
The hydrating mist, infused with encapsulated Swiss minerals, hyaluronic acid, and polyphenols from alpine rose petals, smells amazing and is the perfect companion for on the go—as well as an extra hydration booster when applied between your usual layers of skincare products. Delicious!

Ledibelle Moisturizer (50ml), approx. CHF 70.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: Goat whey is something of a cultural treasure from Appenzell, and thanks to the young cosmetics brand Ledibelle, it’s finally taking center stage in facial care! This gentle, hypoallergenic moisturizer is an absolute treat for very sensitive skin, providing it with ideal levels hydration and protection.
Key ingredients include goat whey, water from the «Jakobsquell» in Appenzell, meadowfoam, and edelweiss extract… and thanks to a patented blueberry extract, the cream also protects against blue light. An absolute insider tip—and it’s been tested by my friends with very sensitive skin, too!
WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT AWAY: Ledibelle is available at select pharmacies and drugstores, as well as at Marionnaud Zurich Airport (located in the pre-flight shopping center upon arrival by train!). Ledibelle Store Locator here.
Rubis Tweezers Classic Swiss Cross, approx. CHF 35.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: In short, Rubis tweezers are the Bentleys of beauty tools – there simply aren’t any better tweezers in the world! These chic red tweezers with a Swiss cross are crafted in Ticino from surgical-grade steel, and thanks to their angled cut, they grab even the tiniest (eyebrow) hairs and never EVER get dull. A lifelong companion I never want to be without—and one that has me making a huge fuss whenever it disappears into my daughter’s room again, ahem.
WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT AWAY: Rubis tweezers are available at pharmacies, drugstores, and department stores like Manor.
Sensolar Sun Protection SPF 50 (100ml*), approx. CHF 30.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: Thanks to its two-phase formula of water and oil, this lightweight, fast-absorbing sunscreen provides ideal UVA and UVB protection while being extremely gentle on the skin. It’s non-greasy, highly water-resistant, and contains no fragrance, alcohol, or emulsifiers. But a quick heads-up, even though it looks cool with its two bright colors, you have to shake it well before applying it!
WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT NOW: Sensolar sunscreens are available in almost all pharmacies and drugstores in Switzerland.
Dermafora Glow Peeling Pads (40 pads), approx. CHF 32.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: Thanks to its “science meets nature” philosophy, the Swiss pharmacy skincare brand Dermafora is, in our opinion, clearly one of the unsung heroes of the Swiss beauty industry!
The line offers smart solutions for almost every skin type, but one of our favorite products is the innovative Glow Peeling Pads, which gently remove dead skin cells with a highly effective AHA complex made up of three different, skin-friendly acids (lactic acid, citric acid, and glycolic acid). Used twice a week after cleansing, they give your skin a visibly more radiant glow!
WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT AWAY: Dermafora is available in over 200 Amavita, Coop Vitality and Sun Store pharmacies all over Switzerland, shop finder here.
bepure Calming Milk Face Cleanser (45g), approx. CHF 37.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: For us, everything about the small organic beauty brand bepure is just right: a super-friendly co-founder, a great philosophy (minimalist formulas with organic argan oil from Morocco), and sustainability that never compromises on performance! bepure’s facial oils and serums are fantastic, but their newly launched facial cleanser has completely blown us away!
This smooth, skin-soothing cleanser with blue tansy is applied directly to dry skin in the evening and, when massaged in with wet fingertips, transforms into a fragrant milk that rinses off effortlessly, leaving the skin soft and super-clean. Simply brilliant!
WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT NOW: Available in selected green beauty stores and pharmacies, among others at NatureFirst Zurich Albisriederplatz, Winterthur and Schaffhausen, at Kultkosmetik in St. Gallen and in Schminkbar locations.
Coop Naturaline Skinfood GOOD SKIN GOOD DAY Gel Cream (50ml), approx. CHF 10.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: See? Not EVERYTHING from Switzerland is expensive! This super-light moisturizer with a gel-like texture is an (Eco-Cert) certified organic product, delivers a powerhouse dose of hydration with amazing plant-based ingredients like kale extract, aloe vera, shea butter, and berry extracts AND costs under 10 Swiss Francs.
Plus, it has a subtle, pleasant scent and is suitable for all skin types. Fun fact: This costs about the same as a bar of chocolate from Sprüngli (also an excellent Swiss souvenir), but will keep you and your skin happy for much longer:-)
WHERE YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT AWAY: Coop Naturaline is available in all Coop City department stores and at larger Coop megastores, find your nearest Coop City here.
farfalla Organic Room Spray Sleep Well (75ml), approx. CHF 17.00

WHY WE LOVE IT: farfalla is a fantastic Swiss natural cosmetics brand that not only creates beautiful products but also offers them at extremely fair prices. The “Good Night” room spray is one of our absolute favorites in aromatherapy! Thanks to essential oils of lavender, sweet orange, and geranium, it fills the room with a soothing scent that promotes relaxation and a deeper sleep. It also makes a great gift for all your friends who have trouble sleeping, and I never travel without it, as it makes even the dingiest hotel room smell a bit like home.
